Peter Wahlstrom is Managing Director, Investment Research at Front Barnett, A Mesirow Company and serves as a member of the Front Barnett Investment Committee. 

Peter joined Front Barnett in 2016 from Morningstar where he spent six years as a Senior Analyst, Sector Director, and a member of the firm’s Economic Moat committee, a group of senior members of the equity research team responsible for reviewing all Economic Moat and Moat Trend ratings issued by Morningstar. In 2012, Wahlstrom ranked third in the “Specialty Retail” industry in the StarMine Analyst Awards, presented by the Financial Times. Prior to joining Morningstar, Wahlstrom worked in the global investment research divisions of Goldman Sachs and RiverSource Investments (Ameriprise Financial). 

He is a board member of the Indiana University Reese Fund and Chiavacci Value Fund, and has been a guest MBA lecturer at Indiana University and the University of Notre Dame.
Wahlstrom holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Illinois and a Masters in Business Administration in Finance from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business.
